The Summer of 2019
(To read my cancer story from the beginning start here – April / May 2018 – You Have Cancer)
The summer months of 2019 were great, uneventful, but peaceful and I was spending more time in the garden.
I was eating virtually everything now, was still drinking my fortisips and my weight was creeping up again.
By the end of July I was up to 11 stone but was going to the gym at least twice a week.
I was still having my lymphatic massage treatment and apart from one bit of a scare about cellulitis was responding well.
My neck was a lot better but I still had an annoying swelling on bottom lip and right cheek/chin, not really noticeable but enough to be annoying.
My lymphoedoma nurse was great, not only with the massage but she also gave me some great compression garments.
By September I had finished my treatment and it was now basically up to me to keep my skin well looked after, do my own massage and where my compression garments at night
I was now only having to go to Coventry every couple of months all in all things were pretty good.
A bit boring for the blog, but the less that was happening the better 🙂
